Halina and Jan Machulski's Acting School

A school of acting, intended for adults, has been operating at the Polish ASSITEJ Centre since 1999. The School was initiated by Jan Machulski – theatre and film actor, director, long-time lecturer and dean at the National Film, Television and Theatre School in Łódź. The school follows an original curriculum. It educates professional actors, but also theatre educators. Graduates are prepared to create their own theatre groups, as well as to work in public and independent theatres. Every year, more graduation plays are produced, available to the public free of charge. Until 2020, the school was a non-public school with the rights of a public school granted by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage. Since 2020, Halina and Jan Machulski’s Acting School became an experimental private school. Since October 2022, the organisational supervision of the School has been provided by the Halina and Jan Machulski Alumni Foundation (Fundacja Wychowanków Haliny i Jana Machulskich)
